Why Use a Patient Advocate?

There’s many reasons someone seeks the help of an advocate. It’s not really possible to list all the reasons but the top or most common reasons someone partners with a patient advocate are:

  • You’re in poor health and are overwhelmed by all the calls, appointments, follow ups, insurance and information you have to deal with to take action toward healing.
  • You are the caregiver or child and find all the coordination of care, insurance followup and mediation as well as enormous amount of appointments are time consuming, frustrating and at the end of the day, is your person getting the care/results they need?
  • In order to even be seen in some offices, you have to assert yourself and presentyour case. If speaking up and asserting yourself is not in your wheelhouse, you definitely need an advocate.
  • HOPE! You’ve been to many doctors and had many tests. The news is negative. You don’t think there any other possibilities. An advocate can letyou know your options for care and present current, qualified research to help you obtain your highest health potential.

These are just a few of the reasons to seek a patient advocate. I know what it feels like to be in each of these situations and I’m qualified to help you and your loved ones navigate the complex medical system.

  1. It’s nice that you pointed out how there are a lot of reasons why someone would seek the help of a patient health advocate. None of my family members are sick right now, however, I think we should make some preparations ahead of time. First off, we should have the contact number of a patient advocate.
